Creating a Safe and Engaging Space for Children
The Kidiverse project in Orlando involved a comprehensive interior and exterior renovation to transform the space into a vibrant and secure indoor playground. The design focused on providing a physically engaging and educational environment where children could play safely, while also offering comfort and convenience for parents.
Customized Interior Features and Play Areas
Key features of the renovation included the installation of colorful VCT flooring under the main playground, designed in collaboration with the owners to complement the overall theme. A cozy snack bar and lounge area were added to offer a relaxing space for parents and children. Additionally, an interactive climbing wall with electronic game circles was securely anchored using steel supports to ensure safety.
Infrastructure and Safety Enhancements
Significant upgrades were made to the facility’s infrastructure, including the installation of new ductwork, air conditioning diffusers, and rooftop HVAC units to maintain a comfortable indoor climate. Safety was a top priority throughout the project, with the addition of a Unistrut structure with protective padding and new metal framing to support perimeter drywall installations.
