We’re working on a ground-up design-build expansion project for an existing facility, totaling 72,400 square feet. The client approached us with a concept, essentially a rough sketch, and an idea of what they needed. Originally, their vision included three separate buildings, but after thorough due diligence and site analysis, we determined that a single building would best meet all requirements, overcoming constraints such as easements.
This has been a true journey from concept to execution, involving daily conversations and close collaboration with the client. Our team developed both conceptual and building plans, allowing the client to see a clear vision of their project early on. This approach meant they didn’t need to commit to an architect and civil engineer independently; instead, our design-build process streamlined the development through a feasibility contract, which covered essential site analysis, building requirements, and budget assessments.
